"Formalism brought us to 'the Moment' when the painting becomes
simply, but transcendentally, an object only. A 'thing' sharing the same space and time with us.  For me,
there's no point in going back.  It would be like saying, 'Well, we made it to the Moon! But hey - let's just head
on back to Earth, now'. So, in the spirit of conceptual playfulness, I make 'things' that look like paintings.
Their 'main identity' is simply paint and canvas."
